Message text: Object &1 : 100% area does not exist in AUC
Interest is to be charged to WBS element &V1&. However, a capital
investment profile is entered in this WBS element which causes the
values in the relevant asset under construction, rather than the WBS
element itself, to be used for the calculation.
To this end, you must define the valuation area of the asset under
construction whose values are to be used in the interest calculation
and the area, in which all the values are capitalized in the periodic
settlement ("100% area")-
From the valuation plan, the system determined valuation area &V2& as
the 100% area. However, this does not exist in the relevant asset
under construction.
No interest posted to &V1&.
Interest is nevertheless displayed in the log for the interest run.
If this problem occurs, find out what has led to it and notify the SAP
Hotline so that they can investigate the problem further.

- Object &1 : 100% area does not exist in AUC ?The SAP error message HF216 indicates that there is an issue related to Asset Under Construction (AUC) where the specified object (usually an asset) has reached 100% completion, but the system cannot find the corresponding area for it. This typically occurs in the context of asset accounting when trying to settle costs or perform other operations on an AUC.
Cause:
- Completion Status: The asset under construction has been marked as 100% complete, but the system does not have a valid area (such as a cost center or internal order) to allocate the costs to.
- Configuration Issues: There may be configuration issues in the asset accounting settings, particularly related to the AUC and its settlement rules.
- Missing Master Data: The master data for the asset may be incomplete or incorrectly set up, leading to the system not recognizing the area.
- Settlement Process: The settlement process for the AUC may not have been properly executed, or the settlement rules may not be defined correctly.
Solution:
- Check Asset Status: Verify the status of the asset under construction. Ensure that it is correctly marked for settlement and that the completion percentage is accurate.
- Review Configuration: Check the configuration settings for asset accounting, particularly the settings related to AUC. Ensure that the necessary areas (like cost centers or internal orders) are defined and active.
- Validate Master Data: Review the master data for the asset. Ensure that all required fields are filled out correctly, including the area to which costs should be allocated.
- Settlement Rules: Ensure that the settlement rules for the AUC are correctly defined. You may need to adjust the rules to ensure that the costs can be settled to the appropriate asset or cost center.
- Execute Settlement: If the asset is complete and all configurations are correct, try executing the settlement process again. Use transaction code ABZON or ABZP to settle the AUC.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on handling AUC-related issues.

If the issue persists after following these steps, it may be beneficial to consult with your SAP support team or a functional consultant specializing in asset accounting for further assistance.
