  • What causes this issue?

Interest is to be charged to WBS element &V1&. However, a capital
investment profile is entered in this WBS element which causes the
values in the relevant asset under construction, rather than the WBS
element itself, to be used for the calculation.
To this end, you must define the valuation area of the asset under
construction whose values are to be used in the interest calculation
and the area, in which all the values are capitalized in the periodic
settlement ("100% area"). One of the two areas for the asset under
construction for &V1& could not be determined.
This error may have a number of causes:
No valuation area has been entered in the interest profile for the WBS
element to act as the basis of the interest calculation.
The valuation area entered in the interest profile does not exist in
the chart of depreciation for the asset under construction belonging to
    the WBS element.
The system could not determine a valuation area in the chart of
depreciation for the asset under construction belonging to the WBS
element which capitalizes 100% of the values covered by the periodic
    settlement.

    System Response

    No interest posted to &V1&.
Interest is nevertheless displayed in the log for the interest run.

    How to fix this error?

If the error is due to the first case described above, go to Project
System customizing, access the interest profile for the WBS element and
controlling area currency and all the interest indicators used, and
enter a valuation schedule and valuation area.
If the error is due to the second case described above, you must go to
Customizing and correct the valuation area in the interest profile.
If the error is due to the third case described above, you must correct
the chart of depreciation for the asset under construction. You must
go to Asset Accounting customizing and set up a valuation area with
type "07" (or "01") to which you must not assign a capitalization
    version in Investment Management customizing.
