  • What causes this issue?

The ability to enter the goodwill and negative goodwill fields depends
on the settings in system utilization of C/I (consolidation of
investments). The treatment of goodwill in method &v1& has been changed
    according to the system utilization.
For example, if goodwill is no longer amortized and, instead, only
directly eliminated, this modified the respective setting in the
method. This can be adopted by choosing Save.
There can still be method-based settings that are no longer activated.
