Message number: 141
Message text: Total solids of primary output &1 do not exist
For calculations, the system requires the total solids of the
substances involved. It takes these from the property tree for the
substance from the characteristic and value assignment type you
specified in Customizing for Formulas in the environment parameters
<DS:TX.RMS_IMG_ENVPARA_ATNAM_TOTSOL>FRML_ATNAM_TOTAL_SOLID</> or
<DS:TX.RMS_IMG_ENVPARA_ESTCAT_TOTSO>FRML_ESTCAT_TOTAL_SOLID</>. No
total solids were specified there for the substance of primary output
&V1&.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Enter the total solids of the substance in the property tree.

FRMLMSC141
- Total solids of primary output &1 do not exist ?The SAP error message FRMLMSC141 indicates that the system is unable to find the total solids value for the primary output in a formula or recipe. This error typically occurs in the context of process manufacturing, particularly in industries like food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, or chemicals, where formulations and recipes are critical.
Cause:
- Missing Data: The total solids value for the primary output has not been defined in the material master or the recipe.
- Incorrect Configuration: The formula or recipe may not be correctly configured to reference the total solids data.
- Data Inconsistency: There may be inconsistencies in the data setup, such as missing links between the output material and its properties.
- Versioning Issues: If there are multiple versions of a recipe or formula, the version being used may not have the total solids defined.
Solution:
Check Material Master: Ensure that the material master for the primary output has the total solids value defined. You can do this by navigating to the material master record and checking the relevant views (e.g., Basic Data, Classification).
Review Recipe/Formulation: Open the recipe or formula in question and verify that it correctly references the total solids for the primary output. Ensure that all necessary parameters are filled out.
Update Data: If the total solids value is missing, you will need to enter it. This can typically be done in the material master or the recipe management module.
Check for Version Conflicts: If you are using a specific version of a recipe, ensure that it is the correct version and that it has all the necessary data defined.
Consult Documentation: Review any relevant SAP documentation or help files for additional context on how to manage total solids in your specific version of SAP.
Contact Support: If the issue persists after checking the above, consider reaching out to your SAP support team or consulting with an SAP expert who can provide more tailored assistance.
