Note: This check routine detects any XML version incompatibilities and
covers all unsupported combinations of expression type and version.
However, as a rule of thumb, it may be useful to know that a significant
number of expression types has first been introduced with XML version
1.08. If it is possible for you to use at least this XML version, most
of the potential incompatibilities will be solved.
