Message class: ESH_OM_OBJ_MODEL_ODP - ODP-Related Messages
Message number: 024
Message text: Relation to ODP &1, semantics &2: Cardinality not supported
The relation (association, composition) makes use of a cardinality that
is not supported in the context of operational data providers (ODP).
The relation cannot be considered in the context of ODPs. Therefore the
relation will not be available in an analytic query that is defined on
TransientProvider for an affected ODP. In addition, it will not be
visible in the TransientProvider preview for the ODP.
Follow the rules for creating valid relations for ODP purposes in the
SAP Library documentation.

ESH_OM_OBJ_MODEL_ODP024
- Relation to ODP &1, semantics &2: Cardinality not supported ?The SAP error message ESH_OM_OBJ_MODEL_ODP024 typically indicates an issue related to the cardinality of a relationship in the context of the SAP Enterprise Search (SAP ESH) or the Object Model. This error arises when the system encounters a relationship between objects that does not conform to the expected cardinality rules defined in the data model.
Cause:
- Cardinality Mismatch: The error suggests that the relationship between two objects (e.g., entities or data models) is defined in a way that is not supported. For example, if a one-to-many relationship is expected but the data model is trying to enforce a many-to-many relationship, this can trigger the error.
- Data Model Configuration: The configuration of the object model may not align with the actual data being processed. This can happen if the underlying data structure has changed or if there are inconsistencies in the metadata definitions.
- Inconsistent Data: If the data being processed does not adhere to the defined relationships and cardinalities, it can lead to this error.
Solution:
- Review Object Model Configuration: Check the configuration of the object model in the SAP system. Ensure that the relationships between objects are correctly defined and that the cardinality matches the expected values.
- Data Consistency Check: Perform a consistency check on the data being processed. Ensure that the data adheres to the defined relationships and that there are no anomalies or inconsistencies.
- Adjust Cardinality Settings: If necessary, adjust the cardinality settings in the object model to align with the actual data relationships. This may involve modifying the metadata definitions or the underlying data structures.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or notes related to the specific version of SAP ESH you are using. There may be specific guidelines or patches available that address this issue.
- Debugging: If the issue persists, consider enabling debugging or logging to gather more information about the context in which the error occurs. This can help identify
