Message text: Migratn to new change-pointer handling unsuccessful (real-time indexing)
Migration to new change pointer handling was unsuccessful.
The report to migrate from the former change pointer handling to the new
<ZH>Real-Time Indexing</> feature was unsuccessful because report <DS>
<DS:RE.ESH_EX_CONSOLIDATE_CP>ESH_EX_CONSOLIDATE_CP</></> could not be
scheduled to be processed as a background job.
The report <DS>
<DS:RE.ESH_IX_PROCESS_CHANGE_POINTERS>ESH_IX_PROCESS_CHANGE_POINTERS</>
</> is scheduled in your system (see transaction SM37) to run
periodically to update the indices of search connectors, according to
the selection criteria of report variant &V1&.
This report has been replaced by real-time indexing, which runs much
faster and can be maintained directly from the Administration Cockpit (
<LS>Menu Actions</> -> <LS>Schedule Indexing</>).
Because of technical issues regarding background processing, the
migration could not be processed automatically.
To <ZH>migrate to real-time indexing</>, proceed as follows:
Run report <DS><DS:RE.ESH_EX_CONSOLIDATE_CP>ESH_EX_CONSOLIDATE_CP</></>
(set <LS>Deletion To-Date</> to one year in the past)
Start transaction <DS><DS:TRAN.SA38>SA38</></> (or <DS>
<DS:TRAN.SA38>SA38</></>) and note down the selection criteria for
object types for your report variant &V1&.
Open the Administration Cockpit and maintain scheduling for all search
connectors related to the object types of your report variant (menu
<LS>Actions</><ZK> -> </><LS>Schedule Indexing, Real-Time Indexing</>)
Open the Administration Cockpit and maintain real-time indexing settings
(menu <LS>System Settings</><ZK> -> </><LS>Control Real-Time Indexing
</>)
For more information, see the documentation for <ZH>Real-Time Indexing
</>.
