What causes this issue?

During entry, you specified a meter reading note for which control note
05 (device replacement) is defined. The meter reading note states that
the meter reader found the replacement device instead of the device for
which the meter reading order was created.
As a result of this note, the meter reading for the new device is
entered.
The meter reading cannot be entered for the new device, however,
because no device replacement exists as of the meter reading date.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Perform the device replacement in the system and then repeat the entry,
or check when the device replacement was performed and make sure the
meter reading date actually lies after the installation date.
