the stamp was deleted anyway, 'dead pointers' would be the result.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Search the SGUID of the stamp you want to delete in the table eclstamps
(SE16). Search the assigned users in the table eclusers. Delete the
entries manually.
