  • What causes this issue?

The system tried to create a new segment definition or to change an
existing segment definition which is already released. A new segment
definition is automatically created when a released segment definition
is changed. However, only one segment definition is permitted for each
segment in each SAP release. In the current Release &v1&, segment
definition &v2& already exists for the current segment.

    System Response

An additional segment definition can only be created for the next
    release.

    How to fix this error?

If changes must be made to the segment definition, the release of the
last segment definition can be canceled and the enhancements entered.
Changes to SAP segments may only be made by SAP.
The customer enhancement concept is intended to be used for
enhancements to existing SAP segments. You are advised to find out more
about the options available when using this concept.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message E0839 - Create not allowed ?

The SAP error message E0839 "Create not allowed" typically occurs when a user attempts to create a new entry in a table or a master data record where the system settings or authorizations do not permit such an action. This error can arise in various contexts, such as when working with master data, customizing settings, or during data entry processes.

    Causes:

    1. Authorization Issues: The user may not have the necessary permissions to create new entries in the specific area of the SAP system.
    2. Configuration Settings: The system may be configured to disallow the creation of new records in certain tables or areas, possibly due to business rules or data integrity concerns.

    4. Data Model Restrictions: Certain data models may restrict the creation of new entries based on predefined conditions or relationships.

    Solutions:

    1. Check Authorizations: Verify that the user has the appropriate authorizations to create entries in the relevant area. This can be done by checking the user's roles and authorizations in the SAP system.
    2. Review Configuration Settings: Consult with the SAP configuration team to review the settings related to the specific table or area where the error occurs. Adjustments may be needed to allow for new entries.

    4. Consult Documentation: Review any relevant documentation or guidelines that may outline the conditions under which new entries can be created.
    5. Error Logs: Check the system logs for any additional error messages or information that may provide more context about the issue.
