  • What causes this issue?

When creating search helps for help views, it is possible that help
views are found in the SAP namespace or that help views for check
tables were created in the SAP namespace.
These are included in a repair in order to prevent their being
overwritten by the changes made by the XPRA during the next upgrade.
The repair could not be generated.

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

The repair can also be created after the upgrade has finished. Call
program RUTHVMIG and enter a help view name which does not exist, for
example XXXX. Parameter "only test run" may not be selected.
The program then performs only the final processing, which includes
    creation of the repair request.
If the repair cannot be created, the changes are lost during the next
upgrade. You should therefore contact SAP if the repair cannot be
    created after the upgrade either.

The SAP error message DH889, which states "Request could not be created for modified objects," typically occurs during the transport process when there are issues with the transport request creation for modified objects in the SAP system. Here are some common causes, solutions, and related information for this error:

    Causes:

    1. Missing Transport Request: The system may not be able to create a transport request because there is no existing request for the modified objects.

    5. Locked Objects: The objects may be locked by another user or process, preventing the creation of a transport request.

    Solutions:

    1. Check Transport Request: Ensure that there is an active transport request for the modified objects. If not, create a new transport request manually.
    2. Review Authorizations: Verify that the user has the necessary authorizations to create transport requests. This can be checked in transaction SU53 or by consulting with your security team.
