    What causes this issue?

There are two possibilities to ultimately save the log files to an
    archiving medium:
User Exit saves directly to an archiving system
The archiving program BRARCHIVE saves the log files from the log
archive to an archiving medium (tape or archiving system).

    System Response

If the archiving program does not work correctly, the log archive will
gradually become full, meaning that User Exit can no longer work, and
that the log directory becomes full as a result. The database engine
can then no longer create any new log files. This leads to system
    shutdown.

    How to fix this error?

If the archiving system does not work without errors, it is very
important that you correct the errors. If necessary, you should archive
the log files manually in order to create space.
