Order BOM processing is not possible for the sales document item because
the owner of the corresponding configuration is a material variant
(IBINOWN-OBTAB = MARC).
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
To process an order BOM for a sales document item that has a material
variant as the root material, the system settings have to be made so
that when you create a sales order for a material variant, you have to
branch to the configuration. This means that a new configuration is
created with the sales document item as the owner (VBPS).
