    (IBINOWN-OBTAB = MARC).

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

To process an order BOM for a sales document item that has a material
variant as the root material, the system settings have to be made so
that when you create a sales order for a material variant, you have to
branch to the configuration. This means that a new configuration is
created with the sales document item as the owner (VBPS).

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message CX095 - Order BOM processing not possible - owner &1 not allowed ?

The SAP error message CX095: Order BOM processing not possible - owner &1 not allowed typically occurs when there is an issue with the authorization or ownership of the Bill of Materials (BOM) associated with a production order or a similar object in SAP. Here’s a breakdown of the cause, potential solutions, and related information:

    Cause:

    1. Authorization Issues: The user attempting to access or process the BOM does not have the necessary authorizations to do so. This could be due to missing roles or permissions in the user profile.
    2. BOM Ownership: The BOM may be owned by a different user or organization, and the current user does not have the rights to access or modify it.
    3. BOM Status: The BOM might be in a status that does not allow processing, such as being locked or inactive.
    4. Configuration Issues: There may be configuration settings in the system that restrict access to certain BOMs based on user roles or organizational units.

    Solution:

    1. Check User Authorizations:

      • Verify that the user has the necessary authorizations to access and process the BOM. This can be done by checking the user roles in transaction SU01 or PFCG.
      • Ensure that the user has the appropriate authorization objects related to BOM processing (e.g., C_BOM_A).
    2. BOM Ownership:

      • Check the ownership of the BOM in transaction CS03 (Display BOM) to see who the owner is. If the BOM is owned by another user, you may need to request access or have the BOM transferred to your ownership.
    3. BOM Status:

      • Ensure that the BOM is active and not locked. You can check the status in transaction CS03. If it is locked, you may need to unlock it or wait until it is available.
    4. Consult with SAP Basis or Security Team:

      • If you are unable to resolve the issue through the above steps, consult with your SAP Basis or Security team to review the authorization settings and any potential configuration issues.
