  • What causes this issue?

    You are using the last number available in the number range interval
    &V2& defined for the number range object &V1& In the Customizing, this
    number range interval is assigned to the collateral object type of the
    specified collateral object. This assignment determines the
    identification numbers for collateral objects of this type.

    System Response

    The system does not permit you to create any further collateral objects
    of the specified collateral object type.

    How to fix this error?

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    Procedure for System Administrators

    In the Implementation Guide (IMG) activity
    <DS:SIMG.SIMG_CMS_COB_NR>Define Number Ranges</>, you can extend the
    interval &V2& of the number range object &V1&. Alternatively, you can
    reorganize the corresponding data and manually reset the interval
    status.
    For example, consider an existing interval between 0 - 999. You may
    want to split the interval to say 0 - 400. Then, the corresponding
    intervals that follow must also be rearranged accordingly.
