Message text: Mat. & in plant & should be costed in cost est. w/o qty structure
The <DS:DE.CK_EKALREL>With quantity structure</> indicator in the
costing view of the master record of material &V1& in plant &V2& is not
set. The material is normally costed with a
<DS:GLOS.cost_estimate_without_quantity_structure>cost estimate without
quantity structure</>.
The system costs the material anyway, using a
<DS:GLOS.cost_estimate_with_quantity_structure>cost estimate with
quantity structure</> (that is, using any BOMs and routings that may be
present in the system).
If you normally want to cost the material using BOMs and routings, set
the <LS>With quantity structure</> indicator in the costing view of the
material's master record.

- Mat. & in plant & should be costed in cost est. w/o qty structure ?The SAP error message CK350 indicates that a material in a specific plant is expected to be costed in a cost estimate without a quantity structure. This typically occurs in the context of product costing, particularly when dealing with materials that do not have a defined bill of materials (BOM) or routing.
Cause:
- Missing BOM or Routing: The material may not have a BOM or routing defined, which is necessary for costing in a quantity structure.
- Costing Variant Settings: The costing variant may be set up in a way that requires a quantity structure for the material, but the material is not configured accordingly.
- Material Master Settings: The material master data may not be correctly set up for costing purposes, particularly in the costing view.
- Costing Type: The costing type being used may not be appropriate for the material in question.
Solution:
- Check BOM and Routing: Ensure that the material has a valid BOM and routing if it is supposed to be costed with a quantity structure. If not, consider whether it should be costed without a quantity structure.
- Adjust Costing Variant: Review the settings of the costing variant being used. If the material should be costed without a quantity structure, ensure that the costing variant allows for this.
- Review Material Master: Go to the material master record and check the costing view. Ensure that all necessary fields are filled out correctly and that the material is set up for costing.
- Use Alternative Costing: If the material is indeed meant to be costed without a quantity structure, you may need to use a different costing method or type that accommodates this.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or consult with your SAP support team for specific configurations related to your organization's setup.
