  • Message class: C1 - Characteristics maintenance messages

  • Message number: 809

  • Message text: Required characteristic '&' was excluded

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

A characteristic with the <LS>Entry required</> indicator was hidden,
because, for example, a precondition is not fulfilled. This means that
no value can be assigned to the characteristic. However, the
configuration process is not complete until all required
characteristics have value assigned to them.

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

If you want to save the configuration anyway, set the status of the
    configuration to <ZH>locked</> or <ZH>incomplete</>.
Before you can change the configuration status to <ZH>released</>, you
must delete the <LS>Entry required</> indicator. You can then use a
selection condition to define that the characteristic must have a value
assigned to it if a precondition is fulfilled.
