The SAP error message C1067, "Language indicator cannot be deleted," typically occurs when you attempt to delete a language indicator from a system where it is still in use or where certain dependencies exist. This error is often encountered in the context of language settings in SAP, particularly when dealing with translations or language-specific data.

    Cause:

    1. Active Language Usage: The language you are trying to delete is still being used in various objects, such as texts, data records, or configuration settings.
    2. Dependencies: There may be dependencies on the language in question, such as existing translations for texts or other language-specific configurations that prevent deletion.

      • Reviewing the translation status of texts in the relevant modules.
      • Checking for any configuration settings that reference the language.
    2. Remove Dependencies: If you find that there are objects using the language, you will need to either delete or change those objects to another language before you can delete the language indicator.

      • For example, if there are texts in that language, you may need to delete or translate them into another language.
    3. System Configuration: Ensure that the language is not set as a default language in any system settings. You may need to change the default language to another one before proceeding with the deletion.

    4. Use Transaction Codes: You can use transaction codes like SE63 (Translation) to manage translations and check for any existing texts in the language you want to delete.

    5. Consult Documentation: If you are unsure about the dependencies or how to proceed, consult SAP documentation or reach out to your SAP Basis or functional team for assistance.
