Message number: 893
Message text: Caution: You can only use asyn. signature process at the end of PI sheet
You have set the <DS:DE.CO_SIGNASYN>Asyn. signature process</>
indicator in the process instruction.
The system only takes this indicator into account in the PI sheet if
the following requirements are met:
The <DS:DE.SIG_SH>Digital signature</> indicator has been set in
Customizing for the control recipe destination.
A signature strategy has been allocated in Customizing for the control
recipe destination or in the process instruction.
The process instruction is defined at the very end of the PI sheet.
This means that is used to sign off the entire PI sheet.
If any of these requirements is not met, the signature process is
carried out synchronously.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

C0893
- Caution: You can only use asyn. signature process at the end of PI sheet ?The SAP error message C0893, which states "Caution: You can only use asynchronous signature process at the end of PI sheet," typically occurs in the context of using Process Instruction (PI) sheets in SAP. This error is related to the signature process for confirming operations in manufacturing or production environments.
Cause:
The error arises when there is an attempt to use an asynchronous signature process at a point in the PI sheet that is not at the end of the process. The asynchronous signature process is designed to be used only after all necessary operations and confirmations have been completed. If you try to invoke this process prematurely, SAP will generate this warning/error message.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you should ensure that you are at the correct stage in the PI sheet before attempting to use the asynchronous signature process. Here are some steps you can take:
Complete All Required Steps: Make sure that all necessary operations and confirmations in the PI sheet are completed before trying to apply the asynchronous signature.
Check PI Sheet Status: Verify the status of the PI sheet. It should be in a state that allows for the final signature process. If there are any pending tasks or confirmations, complete them first.
Review Configuration: If you believe you are at the end of the PI sheet but still receive this error, check the configuration settings related to the signature process in your SAP system. There may be specific settings that dictate when and how signatures can be applied.
Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for more detailed information on the asynchronous signature process and its requirements.
Contact Support: If the issue persists and you cannot identify the cause, consider reaching out to your SAP support team or consulting with an SAP expert who can provide further assistance.
