which you are working.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

Customizing for <LS>Process Management</>.
Depending on your requirements, execute the following steps in
Customizing:
Release the characteristics group to which characteristic &V1& is
assigned for use in process instructions and, if required, in process
messages.
Assign characteristic &V1& to a characteristics group that has been
released for use in process messages.
Call up the process instruction category, the master recipe, or the
process order again and start the process instruction assistant.
Characteristic &V1& is now available.
