  • What causes this issue?

When you exit the process instruction assistant, the system creates the
characteristic structure for the process instruction. Since the value
of a formula characteristic may not exceed 30 characters, the system
splits long formulas and distributes them to several characteristics.
The system can split formulas whenever there is a blank character.
However, the process instruction you have selected comprises a formula
segment with over 30 characters and no blanks.

    System Response

The system was not able to split the formula segment. It was truncated
    after 30 characters.

    How to fix this error?

Check and correct the formula definition.
Add blank characters before and after operators so that the system can
    split the formula.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
