No change document object has been registered for the chosen table in
the <ZK>Change Document Objects: Overview</> transaction (SCDO).
Changes in the settings of data elements regarding the creation of
change documents do not result in a change in the creation of change
documents for a special change document object. However, the changes
can affect other tables and other change document objects.
A certain small number of change document objects exist that are not
listed in transaction SCDO. This confirmation prompt is issued for
tables of these objects although the tables are assigned to a change
    document object.

The SAP error message AUT055 ("No change document object registered for selected table") typically occurs when you are trying to create or modify a change document for a table that does not have a change document object associated with it. Change documents in SAP are used to track changes made to certain database tables, and not all tables are set up to support this functionality.

    Cause:

    1. No Change Document Object: The table you are trying to work with does not have a change document object defined in the system.

      • If the table is supposed to have change documents, ensure that the change document object is correctly defined and activated.
    2. Create Change Document Object:

      • If the table does not have a change document object and you need to track changes, you may need to create one. This can be done using transaction SCDO (Change Document Objects).
      • Define the change document object and link it to the relevant table.
    3. Use Alternative Methods:

      • If change documents are not necessary for your use case, consider using other methods to track changes, such as triggers or application logs.
    4. Consult Documentation:

      • Review SAP documentation or consult with your SAP Basis or ABAP team to understand the implications of enabling change documents for specific tables.
