  • What causes this issue?

    You want to assign appropriation request &V1& as the original
    appropriation request.
    However, alternate request &V2& is assigned to fiscal year &V3& and
    version &V4&, to which &V1& is also assigned.

    System Response

    Appropriation request &V1& cannot be used as the original appropriation
    request.

    How to fix this error?

    Enter a different original appropriation request, that does not have
    any overlap of version assignments.
    Or, correct the version assignment on the appropriation request
    yourself, and then assign the original appropriation request again.
    Note:
    When you use alternates, only one of the alternates can be assigned to
    a given combination of version and fiscal year.
