Conversion requests (conversion of data, changes to the database table
with the exception of ADD FIELD) are not carried out directly by the
activator, but instead are marked for background conversion (delayed
conversion). A different program must be started for the actual
conversion.
This procedure is used to improve performance and to avoid the risk of
there being any DDL locks on the tables to be converted, as these
prevent the database table from being changed.
It was found that the object had already been scheduled for background
conversion.
