  • What causes this issue?

    Target depreciation area &V2& assigned to source depreciation area &V3&
    adopts the account determination from a depreciation area different than
    the source depreciation area.
    When implementing a new accounting principle however, it is mandatory
    that the account determination matches in both the source and target
    depreciation area, so that the data can be posted again correctly and
    reconciliation can take place between the two accounting principles (for
    example, with balance sheet, profit and loss statement, as well as asset
    history sheet).

    System Response

    It is <ZH>not</> possible to ensure that the account determination in
    the target accounting principle matches that of the source accounting
    principle in the system.

    How to fix this error?

    Check in Customizing for <LS>Asset Accounting</> under
    <DS:SIMG.T093_00N_NEW_DC.0D898E4FE4626657E10000000A428C91>Define
    Depreciation Areas</> which alternative depreciation area for account
    determination is defined in both the source depreciation area and in the
    target depreciation area.
    For your target depreciation area, change the alternative depreciation
    area for account determination so that you have the same alternative
    depreciation area defined as for your source depreciation area.
    If there is <ZH>no</> alternative depreciation area defined in the
    source depreciation area, then define the source depreciation area as
    the alternative depreciation area in the target depreciation area. (This
    also applies, amongst others, for the posting and APC leading area and
    for investment support areas).
