Message text: Not permitted to use enhancement to change validity interval
You are using a country or customer enhancement to influence the
validity and deduction intervals for absence quota generation.
As described in the documentation on customer enhancement "011" in SAP
enhancement HRPTIM03, you are not permitted to change the validity
interval if the enhancement is called from transaction PA30, PA61, or
report RPTQTA00, since there is already a predefined mechanism.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Change the logic of the enhancement. Ensure that you take account of
parameter XCALLTYPE.
More specifically: If XCALLTYPE = "D", you must not change the validity
interval.

- Not permitted to use enhancement to change validity interval ?The SAP error message 72261, "Not permitted to use enhancement to change validity interval," typically occurs when there is an attempt to modify the validity interval of a data record in a way that is not allowed by the system's configuration or authorization settings. This error is often related to enhancements or modifications made to standard SAP functionality.
Cause:
- Authorization Issues: The user may not have the necessary authorizations to perform the action that is being attempted.
- System Configuration: The system may be configured to prevent changes to certain data records or validity intervals to maintain data integrity.
- Enhancement Implementation: If there are custom enhancements or modifications in place, they may restrict changes to the validity intervals for specific data types or records.
Solution:
- Check Authorizations: Ensure that the user has the appropriate authorizations to modify the validity interval. This can be done by reviewing the user's roles and authorizations in the SAP system.
- Review Configuration Settings: Check the configuration settings related to the specific module or data type you are working with. Ensure that the system is set up to allow changes to validity intervals.
- Consult with Development Team: If there are custom enhancements in place, consult with the development team to understand the restrictions imposed by these enhancements. They may need to adjust the logic to allow the desired changes.
- Use Standard Transactions: If possible, use standard SAP transactions and processes to make changes, as these are less likely to trigger restrictions compared to custom enhancements.
- Debugging: If the issue persists, consider debugging the process to identify where the restriction is being enforced. This may require technical expertise.
