  • What causes this issue?

For business events (that is, for objects of the type OTYPE $KURS
in T77S0), infotype 1022 (schedule) is set exclusively and uniquely
whilst creating the business event of the report RHKURS00 or of the
    Transactions PP16, PP17 or PP18.
The user is not allowed to explicitly change or create the infotype
    since this might cause inconsistencies.
For this reason, only the display function is possible here.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message 5A446 - You cannot maintain the schedule at the bus.event => display only -> F1 ?

The SAP error message 5A446, which states "You cannot maintain the schedule at the bus.event => display only," typically occurs when you are trying to make changes to a business event schedule that is in a display-only mode. This can happen for various reasons, such as the event being locked, the user not having the necessary authorizations, or the event being in a status that does not allow changes.

    Causes:

    1. Display-Only Mode: The business event is set to display-only mode, meaning no changes can be made.
    2. Authorization Issues: The user may not have the necessary permissions to edit the schedule.
    3. Event Status: The status of the business event may not allow for modifications (e.g., it may be completed or archived).
    4. Locking Mechanism: The event might be locked by another user or process, preventing any changes.

    Solutions:

    1. Check Event Status: Verify the status of the business event. If it is in a status that does not allow changes, you may need to change the status or create a new event.
    2. Review Authorizations: Ensure that you have the necessary authorizations to maintain the schedule. You may need to contact your SAP security administrator to check your user roles and permissions.
    3. Unlock the Event: If the event is locked, check if another user is currently editing it. You may need to wait until they finish or contact them to release the lock.
    4. Change to Edit Mode: If the event is in display mode, look for an option to switch to edit mode, if applicable. This may depend on the specific configuration of your SAP system.
