Message number: 434
Message text: Schedule pattern and user-defined schedule are not allowed together ->F1
The day schedule can either be determined
- by a day schedule from table T770B
or
- by a user-defined schedule (the "user-defined schedule" function)
The day schedule cannot be defined using both methods at once.
User action:
If you have already entered or chosen a day schedule using the "Day
schedule" field in table T770B, you must delete the contents of the
"Day schedule" field before you can enter a user-defined schedule using
the "user-defined schedule" function.
If you have already entered a user-defined schedule, you must delete it
completely by accessing the "user-defined schedule" function and then
using the "delete list" function. You can then enter or choose a day
schedule in the "Day schedule" field of table T770B.

- Schedule pattern and user-defined schedule are not allowed together ->F1 ?The SAP error message 5A434 indicates that there is a conflict between the schedule pattern and a user-defined schedule in the system. This error typically arises in the context of scheduling in SAP, particularly when dealing with production planning or maintenance planning.
Cause:
The error occurs when both a schedule pattern (which is a predefined schedule) and a user-defined schedule (which is a custom schedule created by the user) are being used simultaneously for the same planning object. SAP does not allow the combination of these two types of scheduling because they can lead to inconsistencies in planning and execution.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you need to ensure that only one type of schedule is used at a time. Here are the steps you can take:
Check the Scheduling Configuration:
- Go to the relevant transaction (e.g., for production orders, maintenance orders, etc.) and check the scheduling settings.
- Identify if a schedule pattern is assigned to the object in question.
Remove the Conflicting Schedule:
- If a schedule pattern is assigned, you can either remove it or replace it with a user-defined schedule.
- Conversely, if a user-defined schedule is being used, ensure that no schedule pattern is assigned.
Adjust the Planning Object:
- Depending on your business requirements, you may need to adjust the planning object to use either the schedule pattern or the user-defined schedule, but not both.
Consult Documentation:
- Refer to SAP documentation or help files for more detailed information on scheduling and the specific configuration settings related to your module.
Testing:
- After making the necessary adjustments, test the scheduling again to ensure that the error no longer occurs.
Related Information:
If the issue persists after following these steps, it may be beneficial to consult with your SAP support team or a functional consultant who specializes in the relevant area (e.g., production planning, maintenance management) for further assistance.
