SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: 56 - HR TRAVEL: Messages for Trip Costs Dialog

  • Message number: 472

  • Message text: Extend destination address using the input help for the first destination

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

Reoccurring trips to a specific destination need to be grouped together
for tax reasons, in order to be able to change the accounting and
taxation method after a certain amount of time (for example, three
    months).
In order to be able to identify reoccurring destinations, destinations
must be entered in detail: This means that destinations can only be
entered using input help. Input help consists of a dialog-box in which
the upper area of the list contains the destinations already visited.
If you have to travel to a specific destination again, you can then
select this destination from the list. New destinations can be created,
by entering the street and location details, in the lower section of
the list. This ensures that reoccurring trips to a specific destination
are always created with the same destination name and details.

This means you should look for a help icon (usually a small question mark or a button) next to the destination field in the configuration screen. This will provide you with valid options or formats for the destination address.
    3. Validate Connection:

      • After making changes, use the "Test Connection" feature in SM59 to ensure that the destination can be reached and that the configuration is correct.
    4. Check for Missing Parameters:

      • Ensure that all mandatory parameters are filled in. Sometimes, additional parameters may be required depending on the type of connection (e.g., HTTP, TCP/IP, etc.).
    5. Review Documentation:

      • If you are unsure about the required format or parameters, refer to SAP documentation or help resources specific to the type of connection you are trying to establish.
    6. Consult with Basis Team:

      • If the issue persists, it may be beneficial to consult with your SAP Basis team or system administrator, as they may have additional insights or access to logs that can help diagnose the problem.
