    You have chosen a new status.

    System Response

    The system checks the status type of the new status in the IMG.
    The document can have the status of status type S (lock status) or O
    (original being processed) or L (enable lock field status).
    If a document has a status with status type S or O, then not all fields
    are available for entry. You can still carry out the following
    functions:
    Change the status
    Link objects to the document
    Change the deletion indicator (subject to authorization check)
    If a document has a status type L, you can enable or disable fields of a
    DIR (Document Info Record).
    You enable or disable fields of a DIR in <LS>Maintain Lock Fields
    </>work step in Customizing for <LS>Define Document Types </>under
    <LS>Cross-Applications -> Document Management- >Control Data.</>
