  • What causes this issue?

    The background process for determining adjustment modes has already
    been started by another user.

    System Response

    Program SAPRUPGM, which is executed during the determination process,
    is locked.

    How to fix this error?

    Please check the background process log in SM37.
    The background process cannot be started by more than one user at any
    time. Please wait until the background process is finished.

    If the process terminates with a short dump, you must use the lock
    management transaction SM12 to reset the lock for program SAPRUPGM.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
