You can use the <ZK>Program flowchart for the limitation of employment
tax to be deducted from pension payments and of reunification tax in
accordance with the agreement on avoiding double taxation</> (DTC-PAP)
to limit the employment tax deduction applied to pension payments for
certain countries.
Employment tax and reunification tax are limited to the maximum rate of
withholding tax according to the relevant DTC. The limitation is
performed in the following sequence:
Other reunification tax
Regular reunification tax
Other employment tax
Regular employment tax
By calling the program flowchart multiple times for regular and other
payments, the limitation to the maximum rate of withholding tax is
performed again and the sequence of the types of tax deduction is
carried over:
After the adjustment, the sum of employment tax and reunification tax
may not be larger than the maximum tax in the period.
If the regular employment tax was limited, there may be no other
employment tax, no regular reunification tax, or no other reunification
tax. Otherwise, in the above-mentioned sequence, the reunification tax
or the other employment tax is reduced to the amount 0.00 and the
regular employment tax is increased.
If other employment tax was limited, reunification tax is not permitted.
Otherwise, in the above-mentioned sequence, the reunification tax is
reduced to the amount 0.00 and the other employment tax is increased.
If the regular reunification tax was limited, other reunification tax is
not permitted. Otherwise, the other reunification tax is reduced to the
amount 0.00 and the regular employment tax is increased.
