&STANDARD_SETUP&
The prefix field is empty when the system is delivered.
The following naming conventions apply:
SAP namespace:,,SAP [System name][Client],,,,
Customer namespace:,,First letter Z or Y
Partner namespace: ,,Prefix begins and ends with oblique stroke
You cannot create products or attributes without a prefix.
&ACTIVITY&
Create or change a prefix in the corresponding namespace. A change to
the prefix only affects the key for new attributes or products. Existing
products or attributes have the same prefix with which they were
created.
Before the transport takes place, check whether attributes or products
exist in the target system that have the same prefix in the key as
attributes or products in the source system. This could lead to data
inconsistencies in the target system.
A client has a maximum of one prefix in a system at any one time.
